Pressure gauges and pressure transmitters are some of the most widely used and reliable instruments in today’s production environments and need to be calibrated on a regular basis.
Despite the large number, there is, unfortunately, often a lack of awareness that these instruments need to be calibrated on a regular basis, to ensure a continous reliability.
It is not uncommon to see many pressure gauges and transmitters that are out of calibration, this may result in a real problem if a facility is operating with a faulty or uncalibrated pressure gauge or transmitter in a process.
This can affect the quality of the product produced or the safety of the production facility.
We recommend establishing a procedure for checking/calibrating pressure gauges and pressure transmitters regularly.
