The fluid is routed through a system of pipes and/or hoses sized for the system. The liquid is eventually forced out of a nozzle or similar, which depending on the size determines how hard/concentrated the output of the jet is.
It is the nozzle that determines the outlet pressure and flow, therefore, you do not necessarily need a large high-pressure system to do the job, the nozzle you choose is equally important.
There are a variety of nozzles designed for specific tasks. It is important that the nozzle is sized to fit the specific high-pressure solution (water pressure and flow), if the nozzle size is incorrect it can cause unnecessary wear on the nozzle and ultimately the whole high-pressure system.
